A meeting on TEMPUS project “Ecological education for Belarus, Russia and Ukraine” in Bremen (Germany) on 30.11.-04.12.2014.

 

To pursue the action plan, provided by international project "Ecological Education for Belarus, Russia and Ukraine" funded by the European Commission, a meeting was held from November, 30 to December, 4, 2014 in Bremen (Germany). The workshop was dedicated to "Content specification of training for target groups (teachers of higher education institutions and vocational schools, secondary school teachers)". The seminar was attended by over 50 representatives from universities and research institutions of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Project Coordinator Professor Dr. Rainer Bremer made a presentation in which he outlined the results of a detailed analysis of the survey which was conducted by all project partners in European educational institutions and in educational institutions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. The aim was to determine the qualification requirements of different target groups in developing training courses in ecology to achieve the main goal of the project - ensuring continuous environmental education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The survey results presented by Professor Dr. Rainer Bremer allowed him to identify the main directions for developing distance learning courses of environmental education. Coordination Workshop on administration and management conducted by Dr. Guido Kaufmann and Dr. Vyacheslav Nikitsin and the discussion of the project plan allowed to identify and determine the tasks for the next stages of the project, the responsibilities of each project participant and to outline the programme of the next meeting. The programme of the meeting provided a visit to the port in Bremerhaven.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The excursion to the port and informative lecture on "Professional management of port in Bremen and Bremerhaven. Bremenports is an international port in right hands” were provided by director Robert Howe. It allowed to feel and see the history of the creation and development of ports in Bremen, the present time of the port, its problems and prospects and a special concern of port administration for environmental protection and the possibilities to reduce the negative environmental impact of port production.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A bright event of the meeting was visiting Eco-building center Verden and an excursion to "eco-friendly" house built on the newest technology of using environmentally friendly materials (straw, wood, natural dyes and modern heating system based on the temperature of the soil).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The main task set by project coordinators is to determine and develop course description (training and professional development of college teachers and teachers of vocational education institutions and secondary school teachers) in the field of ecology taking into account the specific characteristics of each project partner.
